Tyra said something on her show about flaunting and living with your scar, so I'm guessing she probably has some type of scar under the layers (which would make sense for the outfit).

Oh man, when it comes to situations like this I find it harder and harder to defend the show. Last Cycle had such a fantastic group of girls, the top 6 were some of the best the show has ever had. I feel for this girl but based on this pic, she is not a model. I really really hope these are just bad photos and the girls look much more modelesque on the show.

I hope this is some messed up voodoo camera that adds 20 pounds.

I wish. They never eliminate sob stories in the first few episodes. Everyone get ready for at least 8 episodes of "When I was a little girl, I was severely burned by...and it makes me feel ____".

Please, jesse. Fatima's sob story was only brought up TWICE at the BEGINNING of the series, unlike other girls who talked about her body's status the entire show, which I could only TOO easily bring up on you. For some odd reason, I'm pretty sure a girl having her cl** removed without any type of pain killer is much more painful and traumatizing than one girl's self-image issues. Don't even start.

I didn't know about her getting burnt. That is horrible and my heart goes out to her. However, just because she has a heartbreaking story doesn't mean she is a model. Her outfit wasn't even an issue for me.

Fine i wont, but you cant say her story didnt help her get as far as she did. Her story helped her just as much as Whitneys did.

You cannot say that she didn't use her sob story. When the girls go in for the semi-finals, someone asks beforehand "WHAT SHOULD THE JUDGES ASK YOU ABOUT?" and Fatima must have said "MY GENITAL MUTILATION". Yes, it's terrible, but you cannot deny that she used it as a crutch in the beginning.

RF, you can't really say that any girl DOESN'T use something to make themselves memorable. Plus, I doubt they're interviews are 15 second clips like on the first episode. Who knows what they ask them.

Well I just never liked the girls that think JUST because they had some adversity in their lives they should be a model. Like C7's Megan "I was in a plane crash!" or Monique "I deserve it. I have dark skin" or "I want to prove to my mom that..." The only girl that can get away with that is my girl D(ominique) because she is already surpassing supermodel status.
