^Eh, I don't see how the make-up does anything here other than make her look like the goddess that is Grace Jones, if Xiomara was a crappy model, this shot would look awkward and tacky, she had a celebrity that could easily slip into a clownish and over-the-top portrayal but she was able to keep it fashion.
Considering she was shown how to pose and there's nothing in particular coming from the face except good make-up, I don't get why Xiomara is so praised off of this shot.
